Theravue Privacy Policy

Last revised: July 5, 2016

Effective date: July 5, 2016

Theravue.com (http://www.Theravue.com or “Theravue” or the “Website” or the “Site”) is a Service designed to provide online tools for a professional, licensed therapist ("Therapist") to discuss their client cases with a group of other licensed therapists (hereinafter referred to as “Peer Consultation Groups”) and improve their client outcomes. The Site is owned and operated by Theravue Inc. This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) is designed to help you understand how we collect and use personal information, and how we handle privacy issues.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time without notice, so please review it frequently. The date at the top of this page indicates when this Policy was last revised. This Policy applies to all information that we have about you, and to your account with us.

If we decide to change this Policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.

If we make material changes to this Policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a prominent notice when you log into the Site prior to the change becoming effective.

Collection of Personal Information

When you visit Theravue, you provide us with two types of information: A) personal information (such as your name and email address) that you have voluntarily disclosed to us, and B) non-personally identifiable information that is generated when you interact with the Website.

A) Personal Information

When you register with Theravue as a Therapist, we require that you submit certain information that is relevant to providing the Service. We collect registration information (first and last name, phone number, email address, and password) and information about your professional practice (state of license, year of first licensure, degree). This information is collected for the purpose of placing you in a Peer Consultation Group of similar therapists. We also collect credit card information to pay for the Service. Apart for your email address and credit card information, all of the information that you voluntarily submit to the website may be shared with your Peer Consultation Group members.

We may occasionally use your name and email address to send you notifications regarding new services offered by Theravue that we think you may find valuable. We will send you our newsletter if you opt to receive this communication from Theravue. If you wish to unsubscribe from promotional emails including newsletters, you may do so by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each promotional email.

heravue may send you service-related announcements from time to time through the general operation of the service. For instance, if a member of your Peer Consultation Group cancels their account and thereby removes themselves from your group, you will receive an email alerting you to that fact. Generally, you may opt out of such emails which are not promotional in nature by editing your notifications settings, though Theravue reserves the right to send you notices about your account even if you opt out of all voluntary e-mail notifications.

Surveys

From time to time, we may provide you the opportunity to participate in surveys on our Website. If you participate, we may request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information may include personally identifying information such as your contact information (such as name and email address) and demographic information (such as zip code). We use this information to monitor the use of the site or to personalize the Website.

Service Providers

We use third parties to provide various services on our behalf such as an email service provider and credit card processor. When you sign up to receive our newsletter we will share your email address with our email service provider. When you register on the site, we use a credit card processor to store your credit card details in a secure location and to charge your credit card when payments are due.

Third parties are prohibited from using your personally identifiable information for any other purpose including their own marketing. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

If Theravue is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Website of any change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.

Legal Disclaimer

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Website.

We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy policy. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

B) Tracking Technologies

As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We may combine this automatically collected log information with other information we collect about you. We do this to improve services we offer you, to improve marketing, analytics, or site functionality.

Technologies such as: cookies, beacons, tags and scripts are used by Theravue and our analytics, affiliate, or email partners. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies by these companies on an individual as well as aggregated basis.

We use cookies to remember users’ settings (e.g. language preference) and for authentication. Users can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level. If you reject cookies, you may still use our site, but your ability to use some features or areas of our site may be limited.

Third parties with whom we partner to provide certain features on our site or to display advertising based upon your Web browsing activity use local shared objects (LSOs) such as HTML 5 to collect and store information.

Various browsers may offer their own management tools for removing HTML5 LSOs.

Third Party Advertising

Ads appearing on this Website may be delivered to users by Theravue or one of our Web advertising partners. Our Web advertising partners may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement. In this way, ad servers may compile information about where you, or others who are using your computer, saw their advertisements and determine which ads are clicked on. This information allows an ad network to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Policy covers the use of cookies by Theravue only and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers. We have no access or control of these third party cookies.

Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs)

Our third party advertising partner employs a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers personally identifiable information.

The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.
